Battle of the sexes for real

So why do we have a tongue-in-cheek battle of the sexes? Is a really tongue-in-cheek, or is it something more serious than that? Could this really be something that has damaged the psyche of the American male as well as left American women confused?
Well the reality is, yes we do have a battle of the sexes. With women's empowerment in the last century she now has the ability to compete with men as well as take on many of his opportunities as well. Now a woman is pretty much equal, in some cases more powerful, in some cases socially a little less powerful; but either way a woman can now add value to the world instead of just men.
